Bronze figure on marble base representing Brünnhilde, 52 cm tall.
Brünnhilde is a shieldmaiden and Valkyrie in the German Mythologie. Brynja means chain mail in Icelandic.
She appears amongst others in Völsunga- Saga and some Edda poems. She also appears in the Nibelungen song and in Richard Wagners opera Der Ring des Nibelungen.
