Paul Louchet was a pupil of Jules Levebvre and Henri Harpignies and exhibited at many salons.
He was above all a sculptor, bronze maker and chiseler at 3 rue Auber in Paris.
He produces objects in the Art Nouveau style and bronzes designed by Alphonse Adolphe Lamarre, Louis Chalon, Charles Korschann and Hans Stoltenberg Lerche with the brand Louchet Fondeur Paris or Louchet ciseleur.
His objects in collaboration with Lamarre and the porcelain factory Pillivuyt are very popular, consisting of very richly and stylishly decorated porcelain Art Nouveau designs with bronze mounts, sometimes with mythological images in biscuit on porcelain with gold enhancement.
He was friends with Jean Daum, Louis Majorelle and René Lalique and is president of La Chambre Syndicale Des Fabricants De Bronze.
Gold medal at the 1900 World Exhibition and first prizes at the exhibitions in Saint-Louis, Liège and Milan.
