Emmanuel Hannaux #4239 - Tête de Mercure - 1895

Gilded bronze buste of the Greek god Mercury ("Tête de Mercure) on a red marble base by Emmanuel Hannaux made in ca. 1895.
Signed E. Hannaux and foundry mark by Jollet & Cie. in Paris.
A bust like this is to be found in the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and a glazed ceramic relief of the same buste hangs in the MOMA in New York.
