Charles Schneider #1273 - Cranes, Gaston Hoffmann - 1918-1921

Rare vase by Charles Schneider decorated with a japanese scenery with cranes after a drawing by Gaston Hoffmann, executed between 1918 and 1921.
Hoffmann (1883 - 1977) was a friend of Charles Schneider that he knew from the Ecole des Beaux Arts and with whom he collaborated in 1918.
A picture of a drawing from the Schneider archives in 1914 shows a cup and saucer with the same decoration.
Multilayer etched glass with engraved signature preceeded by an amphora.
